MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL 2015

Monday, July 20, 2015

I went to see The Kooks at the Montreux Jazz Festival last week and couldn't be happier, it's been a while since I wanted to see them and I finally got the opportunity to do it!
Are you planning to go to a music festival this Summer?
Which singer/band do you wanna see there?

CAFE DE LA MODE - LA REDOUTE & MYP

Wednesday, February 18, 2015

A few weeks ago, me and some other bloggers were invited by My Playground and La Redoute to a Café de la Mode, an event that, as the name suggests, combines coffee and fashion!
This was the perfect opportunity to chat, meet new people, have some coffee, sweets and, on top of that, discover the Spring/Summer 2015 collection from La Redoute.

For this new collection La Redoute did a new round of collaborations including capsules by Sézane, Polder (a Parisian brand created by 2 Dutch sisters), Brigitte Bardot and the french model, actress and it-girl - Jeanne Damas.

Some of my favorite items:
Dress Mademoiselle R | Blazer Jeanne Damas | Bag Soft Grey

I couldn't finish without mentioning that we also had the chance to try a new Nescafé machine that will be in the Swiss market pretty soon, but shhh! that's all I can say for now...

A special thank you to Anick from My Playground and La Redoute who kindly provided me with these pictures!

WHERE TO EAT - LA SUITE

Sunday, January 25, 2015

I used to walk past this place on my way to the train station and say "I have to try this fancy restaurant, I'm just waiting for the perfect occasion" and that happened last week when me and my boyfriend celebrated 3 years together and decided to give it a try (even after reading contradictory reviews on Internet - we can't always trust them).
I must say that we were positively attracted by the warm, and at the same time, modern atmosphere of this restaurant (I don't have many pictures since I was enjoying the moment) but also, by the friendly and attentive waiters. The food - no less important - was very tasty and nicely presented: I tried the linguine with white truffle cream, soft-boiled egg and Parmesan and my boyfriend had a beef burger with foie gras, sucrine lettuce, caramelized onions and Gruyère. If that doesn't sound like heaven to you then I don't know what does! :)

WHERE TO EAT - BLACKBIRD COFFEE & BREAKFAST CLUB

Wednesday, December 10, 2014

When I first saw this article on The Lausanne guide I knew I had to try out this new spot!
Blackbird Coffee & Breakfast Club is THE place to go if you want to have a real English breakfast or enjoy some delicious pancakes with maple syrup, plus, the decoration is super adorable! Here are a few photos I managed to take last Saturday (it was veryyyy crowded) and if you have the opportunity to come to Lausanne, or if you live nearby, don't you dare skip breakfast! :)

Just out of curiosity - Richard and Jessica Williams the co-founders of Blackbird also created Holy Cow! a few years ago (for those who don't know this place, they do the best gourmet burguers in town!).

SUMMER FESTIVALS - PALEO

Sunday, August 03, 2014

Paléo Festival is one of the most important musical event in Switzerland and the second biggest festival in Europe. Everything started in 1976 (almost 40 years ago) in Geneva but the festival is now held in Nyon a small town close to Lausanne (around 20 minutes by train).
We went to see The National and Placebo on Sunday and were really blessed with the weather, especially because it rained the whole week!
